The Ouija Board, sometimes referred to as "Spirit Board" or "Talking Board" is a, usually wooden, flat board marked with all the letters of the alphabet, the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 0, the words: "Yes", "No", (Sometimes) "Hello", and "Goodbye" along with various magical symbols. Ouija Boards usually come along with a Planchette, which is a wooden, usually triangular, marker with a hole in the center. 

Commercial Use

The Ouija Board was commercialized in 1890 by Elijah Bond. At first it was not considered to be related to the Occult until Pearl Curren, an American Spiritualist, used it as a tool for divination during World War I.
